:: Worker Bee... Bee? BEE!!! RUN!

No bees. I had to work a Saturday. Front end. I'm very polite and rarely late.

I rode in Red as it snowed Friday and Beema got caught at work. Switching from Jet to Red was crazy. I almost had no balance on Red. The change in dynamics is huge between them. Very fun. This weekend I have to now winterize Red in case weather turns for the worse but wow. It's neat having two different bikes.

You just don't get it. It's crazy. After 3 weeks on Jet I could barely ride Red who I've spent almost 7 years (via bebop). Fun fun fun fun fun fun fun riiiiiiiiiiddee.

:: Short Story

Of Glory!

So I had my first yam. I cooked it in 2 ways in varying sizes and thicknesses. A few cuts were on the bbq and one cut boiled. I boiled cubes while I had varying thickness cross-sections on the main level of the grill. Maybe 1/8, 1/4, and 1/2 inch-ish. The upper level had many thin 'peels' of yam on a boiler tray. They were the best. They were like chips. Other wise the boiled ones needed more time and an actual purpose. The cross-sections were all good but the thicker ones needed more time all the way down the line to the smallest.

Which is were the picture comes in. The thinnest didn't make it off the grill. I ate it. The next one made the plate (see left most grill-cross marks) but didn't make the counter. The last 2 made the counter and therefore the picture. The result: floppy. But still of good taste and with a texture you can form a whole plate around. New ideas emerge.

Blue maddness.
Mad blueness.
The cave is a passage way to a different place. I usually bring that place back and build what I saw onto my own character.
Then I do bridges.

(note penis through sweatpants. I didn't have more time from starting the camera to bridging to adjust it away) (also now you can't look at the picture without seeing it :] )

everyday ends
tonight the crowd wants to hear
a good old dick joke

:: Pronounced Hi-Ni

I did get that bike. She's a beaut. I also got H1N1. Or so the doc figures. My partner got it bad so I went to get checked up as I was not feeling right. I'm on Tamiflu right now since I caught it early and I think it works because things haven't been that bad. I'm hoping to only miss one day of work as I am mostly just very exhausted. 100% percent of me is fighting this thing and it's just wearing me out. I started on cold fx and vitamin C early too when my partner started feeling bad. I'm sleeping a lot and going on a no booze streak the like of which I haven't done since... jeez. a long time.

I think when I'm better I'm going to go to the bar and have 1 bottle of everything. Or 1 pint of everything. They have less on tap than in bottles but pints are bigger. I think I'll have to do one one day and the other another. Not back to back though, that wouldn't be fun at all. The bartenders think it's funny how I drink all over the map, I'm sure it would be a fun night to do that... maybe on a cfl playoff day. mmmm.... now I can't wait to get better.

A name. I like how red is named so practical and fitting. This ones black and blue... 'Bruiser'? Or 'Wifey'? Ouch that's mean. heh. But this bike's no bruiser. Red is. So 'Nightcap' perhaps? I like single syllables better, I guess 2 isn't too bad. Part of me thinks I won't know until I spend more time with her. 'Jet' isn't bad either. Jet black, she's small and deadly, fast, precise. 'Jet' is winning right now. Makes me think of the Thursday song which makes me think of riding to Continental mirror and glass.

Ten seconds left until midnight.
How can we take this chance not to celebrate life?

Her name's Jet.

:: Life's a Ride

It all begins again.

I am bald. I am mean looking. I am a worker bee. I will do what I have to do. I look strong so will I be strong. And no one will know how strong. I'll keep you all safe from me. Next time you see me you will be happy. I'll still be alive.

Though..... I may be retarded and buy myself a new bike for my birthday (excuse). Yeah, it's the beginning of winter. Yeah, I already have two bikes. But she's a beautiful beast. A star crossed killer. A splash of ink and sky, nimble and stealthy. Made by MEC. *swooooooon* If I go back to look at her more than once more she will be mine..... Midnight sky

oh yes, she will be mine.

Ohhhhhh Dreeeeaaaaammm Weeeeeaaaver. I believe you can get me through the niiiiiighhhhhht!

Shes just what I've wanted for years. I could ride moto in and strap her onto my back to get her home. Or walk all the way there, to enjoy riding her back home. The first would be like carrying the bride to the room and bed, the second like walking 500 miles to fall down at her door.

She would be my clear weather woman. Red bike would get an overhaul and I would work with her to prepare for the coming cold. A red tank to plow through all weather conditions. Steady and powerful. Faithful and strong. My flag of defiance. My proof and reminder of life.

Midnightsky would be my jet. A rocket to fly on. A wisp on my shoulder. The fleeting dream of what I could do. I will do. Of records broken. Of setting records to beat. A new girl to dance with and see if she's got the spokes to keep up. A new chance to see if I've got the engine to make metal fly. The shooting arrow to back Red's battle axe.

It's always been a matter of time. Like a moto. I knew when I was little (I was never little) I would ride it. It may not last forever but I have the chance to soar now. I will take it.

The time I feel begins with coffee and ends on Friday. I get there on two legs, two lungs, and two wheels.

:: Reminder

In case you have forgot November 1st marks the beginning of Irish Cream season. Nov 1 through to Dec 25. I would have celebrated last weekend but I had already indulged to a great degree. I think next weekend (14-15) I will have a pilsner glass full of Molly's.
The only Irish Cream which brings a warmth to my soul without even opening it. Different label this year. Same goodness.

:: Halloween #2

I had to use a full size dressing mirror across from my bathroom 3-way to try and get this right. If I had a washable marker I would have added a face but I only had black sharpies. Wasn't up for the permanent thing.Blankface is born.
Evening sir, May I see your papers and you - WHERE'S YOUR FACE!? PUT YOUR FACE BACK ON!!!Well, with you hand in your pocket you look pretty damned gentlemanly. I can let it go this once. Remember your face next time.

Ya, I was backwards man
I began with more of a plan
Supplies and time ran few
My budget, so very jew
I had the clippers and the clothes
Glasses are hard without a nose
How could I show up to shrug
To the ones I love to hug
Out of costume, without excuse
I'll lose another but this night refuse
To be the same blood covered freak
I'll be this night as my life, unique

:: Halloween

I was backwards man.

A lot of people actually liked it and commented. Thanks people. Cutting your own bangs on the back of your head is pretty tough. I didn't have the materials or time to make a whole face but blankface was cool too.
