:: Motorbiking

In January. Went for a fun fun ride on Saturday and a longer ride on Sunday. Very fun. It's been positive double digit degrees and the main roads are totally open now. Side streets are totally unusable, however.

I do love my moto. Things are shaping up that I will probably go on a long vacation NEXT summer and ride coast to coast across Canada. This year I get rid of all debt and begin to buy the necessary equipment for such a trip. Also I can _finally_ learn to camp this summer with my many planned long weekends.

So, I'm an alcoholic. I don't know what that really means but since new years I've put myself on a budget to pay off my dumb debt and the highest unnecessary cost was booze. The old budget was around $500 a month on drinks and the new is $100. These may seem high to some (cheap to fun loving others) but the real cause is bars. Going out to drink costs sooo much money. Dollar for dollar you could almost drink as much on $100 as $500 if you don't buy it from a place that jacks the price up. I'm three Fridays in a row without visiting my favorite establishment, Loco Lou's. It fucking sucks. I have to do this for 4 months to be completely clean of stupid debt. I am going to do it for January at least to prove to Joe that I can. If I can I'm going to stick to it and be more careful with the $100. Of course if I wanted I could go clean all month and go out full for two Fridays as $50 a night would make for a fun time.

As for alcoholism. It sounds worse than I think it is. I very much like to drink and don't see why I shouldn't. I barely smoke at all. I exercise, work out, eat well, sleep plenty. I wonder how much of it is habit. Joe and I went to meet an old acquaintance at a bar and I was ready to leave because I wanted another beer so bad. I didn't break and had a fine time but also I don't get that kind of urge if I'm not at the bar. Is it the place? Doesn't help being constantly asked if I want another drink and having to say no, when yes, yes I do very much.... if you pay for it.

Oh well. Being in the green when the summer starts will pay off big time. For now it sucks. Buy me a beer if you see me. I'll take you on a moto ride in return. In January.

Nice flags, eh?

Everyday ends
2 Pale Ale and a Porter
Finish with a smile

:: Adventure Time

Check out the adventure time video on this page.

http://normallife.livejournal.com/

It's unrelated to the page but is very good :].

Also you can listen to CJSW online anywhere in the world. So do so.

Awesome shows include: the blues witness, tombstone after dark, don't throw your marmalade, picking out a thermos, fantastic plastic, the chit chat...... and more!

Except Jazz. Goodness I don't like Jazz.

Riding forwards turning sideways. You get used to it.

Perfectionist.

If you ask me, first attempts at becoming less so have proved substandard.

I can do better.

:: New Year?

Yup. 2009. Ugly to write.
A Chinook warms us up finally.
This is the Arch that forms when we get a Chinook.
It's kind of like the Nexus.
Our work lunch on Christmas eve. We had a few kinds of pasta and 3 different sauces. Also Garlic bread. And of course, booze.
Big bear Terr.
Thanks mom. Christmas in Calgary. Those shortbread things and gingersnaps were both delicious.

Happy Neon New years! A.
J.Mike, our drink provider.
Eddie and Nikki.
My three friends.

I now wish I took a few more pics that take this effect well. I didn't know I could do it until I started messing around today. Ah well.

So. A few months of money pinching are in order so I can do some good riding this summer.

New year, same ride. Ride hard.
